Why Lo-Fi Video is Here to Stay.

When I say “Lo-fi” video, I’m specifically talking about videos with no editing, bad audio, and speak directly to the core audience of the filmmaker. For example, there many audiences such as cannabis, vid casts, and music where having too high of a production value can ruin the perception of the audience. The atittude is… If your video production is too high then I don’t believe you. The Pro commercial makers and brand builders out there have done such a good job promoting corporations that people have lost faith in the messegase being delivered because its too good.

It’s well known that businesses have a history of caring more about the actual brands than they do people and people want nothing to do with it. what we would consider a shitty video is now considered gospel. The other problem with this is that as a content creator brands figure now if people only want these low-fi production rates then we might has well slash rates because it doesn’t cost the same.

Like it or hate it cellphone video and devaluing artist work are here to stay. we just have to be careful not to devalue each other.
